Remaking Tiger Mountain
Speaking of Eno, these kids over yonder (Doug Hilsinger and Caroleen Beatty) have done a full album cover of Eno's 1974 classic, Taking Tiger Mountain (By Strategy). It's more rocking than the original, but rather faithful to the arrangements -- nice job. Eno likes it too: "I am deeply moved by your versions of my songs ... I like it very, very much!" The site includes audio samples and additional background. And there are live performances as Enorchestra -- one coming up February 23rd at Cafe du Nord, San Francisco.
